Lady Doctor Kidnapped and Killed in KP, Public and Doctors Demand Justice
What happened — timeline & background
Dr Warda worked at Benazir Bhutto Shaheed DHQ Hospital in Abbottabad.
She had reportedly entrusted about 67 tolas of gold jewelry with a friend (named Rida) back in 2023 — presumably for safekeeping.
On December 4, 2025, Dr Warda left the hospital in the company of Rida, reportedly to reclaim her gold.
After that, she vanished — family filed a missing-person / abduction complaint under Section 365 of the Pakistan Penal Code
What investigators later found
Police surveillance (CCTV, call/data records) showed that Rida had allegedly lured Dr Warda under the pretext of returning the gold, then drove her to an under-construction house near Jadoon Plaza, Rehman Street (Mandian area of Abbottabad).
At that house — police say — accomplices (named as Shamraiz — at large, plus Nadeem and Pervez) were waiting. Rida allegedly handed Dr Warda over to them and left.
According to police, Dr Warda was strangled to death shortly after abduction — reportedly within about 45 minutes after leaving the hospital.
The suspects confessed (during interrogation) to killing her and burying the body in a pit in the forested slopes of Thandiani / Lari Banota forest.
Discovery, arrests & aftermath
On December 8, 2025, police — acting on the leads from suspects — recovered Dr Warda’s body from the forest near Thandiani / Lari Banota.
So far 3 suspects have been arrested — Rida, Nadeem, and Pervez. The main suspect, Shamraiz, remains at large.
Police have also seized the vehicle used in the crime, as well as relevant stamp papers and cheques related to the gold dispute.
A post-mortem examination was ordered; the exact cause of death will be conclusively confirmed after the reports are processed.

Reaction — Medical community, public outrage, and demand for justice
Doctors and staff at the DHQ hospital immediately staged protests and suspended hospital services when Dr Warda went missing.
After news of the body recovery and murder, anger and grief erupted: colleagues, community people, and health-sector staff criticized the police and government agencies for negligence and delayed response.
There are demands for a transparent, impartial, and thorough investigation — including the formation of a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) — to ensure all culprits are held accountable.

Why this case is extremely shocking and concerning
The murder apparently stemmed from a personal dispute over gold jewellery, not a random crime — betraying a high level of trust.
The alleged involvement of a “friend” (someone Dr Warda trusted) makes it particularly tragic and highlights risks even in personal relationships.
The crime took place in a secure zone: a hospital that is expected to be a safe environment for medical professionals.
It has sparked fear and outrage — showing serious gaps in safety and protection for doctors, especially female doctors, in the region.
