A SIM owner detail is simply the information attached to a mobile SIM card. It covers the full name of the registered person, their CNIC number, and the mobile network the SIM belongs to. In short, when you check SIM owner details, you are asking one question: who does this number actually belong to?

In Pakistan, every SIM must be registered against a valid Computerized National Identity Card. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority enforces this without exception. No unregistered SIM, no fake-registered SIM, no workarounds. The rule applies to everyone.

How Many SIMs Can One CNIC Register?

The PTA does not allow unlimited SIM registrations under a single identity. There is a strict cap per CNIC, and it exists for good reason — to prevent misuse and cut down on identity fraud.

The system that enforces this is called DIRBS, the Device Identification Registration and Blocking System. If someone registers more SIMs than the permitted limit against one CNIC, DIRBS detects it automatically and blocks the excess numbers from further use. No manual review, no prior warning. The system acts on its own to protect the network and keep telecom services compliant with national regulations.

What SIM Card Owner Details Actually Include

SIM card owner details are the verified personal records tied to a registered mobile number. This typically includes the owner's full name, CNIC number, home address, and contact information. Telecom providers and government departments maintain these records for identity verification, security, and regulatory compliance.

Knowing who owns a SIM helps fight fraud, prevent unauthorized usage, and reduce the risk of cybercrime. In Pakistan, the PTA database makes it possible for anyone to quickly confirm SIM ownership with reasonable accuracy through official channels only.

3 Official PTA Methods to Check SIM Owner Details

Checking SIM ownership in Pakistan has never been easier, but it has also never been more important. With fraud, identity theft, and illegal SIM registrations on the rise, knowing which numbers are linked to your CNIC is basic digital hygiene.

The PTA provides three approved verification methods. Whether your number is on Jazz, Zong, Telenor, Ufone, or SCO, these are the only safe and legal routes to confirm SIM ownership.

Method 1: SMS to 668

Open your messaging app and send your 13-digit CNIC number without any dashes to 668. You will instantly receive a reply showing the total number of SIMs registered against your CNIC across all networks. Fast, free, and official.

Method 2: PTA SIM Information System Portal

Visit cnic.sims.pk, the official PTA web portal, and enter your CNIC number. The portal displays all active SIMs currently linked to your identity. This is the most detailed option if you want a complete picture of your registered numbers.

Method 3: SMS to 667

Type MNP in capital letters and send it to 667 from the SIM you want to check. You will receive the registered owner information and network details for that number. This is especially useful if you suspect a SIM has been ported to a different network without your knowledge.

A Word on Fake SIM Detail Websites

There are platforms online that claim to reveal SIM owner details by simply entering any phone number. Do not use them. These sites are illegal, they operate against NCCIA policy in Pakistan, and the data they show is either fabricated or obtained through unauthorized means.

Sharing or seeking personal SIM data through unofficial sources is not just against the law. It is genuinely dangerous. The only legitimate sources for SIM owner information in Pakistan are the three PTA-approved methods listed above. Stick to those, stay cautious, and never hand over personal information to any platform you cannot verify.
